What we make, how it works, and which product is right for you
A point-of-use filter treats water at the exact moment you use it — at the tap, in your bottle, or at your
shower head. You do not need a whole-house system, a plumber, or electricity. Ultra Clear filters remove

No. The kitchen faucet filter does not contain lemon balls or essential oils. Those are found only in certain
shower filter variants — where they are cosmetic (for skin feel), not edible. The faucet filter contains only
food-grade water treatment media: PP cotton, activated carbon, KDF, and calcium sulphite. All materials
are FDA 21 CFR cleared for water contact. Completely safe for cooking and drinking.
Yes. Our faucet and bottle filters work with tap water, borehole water, and rainwater. If your borehole has
high fluoride, sediment, or hardness, the faucet filter handles it well. Note: High sediment water may
reduce filter lifespan and cause faster flow reduction. For heavily contaminated sources, we recommend a
pre-sediment stage or our AquaStream RO system.

Almost always a sediment issue, not a defect. Borehole or high-sediment water can clog the filter media
faster than treated municipal water. Remove the cartridge, rinse under running water (water only — no

Will it fit your specific shower head and kitchen tap?
Our shower filters fit any shower head with a standard G1/2 (1/2 inch) removable thread — which covers
the majority of shower installations in Kenya and East Africa. The key question is whether your shower
sprayer is removable.To check: try unscrewing the shower sprayer/head from the shower arm by hand. If it unscrews — it is
almost certainly compatible. If it does not unscrew — send us a photo and we will advise before you order.

Yes — for a compatible shower head. Our shower filter connects between the existing shower arm and
your shower head. No drilling, no wall changes, no plumber. It is completely reversible — remove in
minutes when you leave. If your shower arm is non-removable (built into the wall as a fixed head), we do
not recommend attempting installation in a rental. In that case, our dispenser filter or filter bottles are a
better solution for your drinking water needs.

Currently, all Ultra Clear shower filter models include aromatherapy beads (lemon) and vitamin C in the
filter media. These are designed to enhance skin brightness and softness — they are cosmetic additions,
not chemical additives. Unscented option: We do not currently stock a scent-free shower filter. If you are
sensitive to fragrances, WhatsApp us — we will flag this for you and advise on the current range. We hear
this request regularly and are working on an unscented variant.

Our shower filters use the standard G1/2 thread (approximately 1.5cm) — the global standard for shower
connections, compatible with most shower arms in Kenya, East Africa, and internationally. The kit includes
multiple adapter fittings to handle slight size variations. For non-standard or unusual shower configurations
(e.g., some South American models, built-in wall showers, or square-thread arms), send us a photo before
ordering — we confirm compatibility in advance.

The faucet filter replaces the aerator — the small tip at the end of your tap spout. The key requirement is
that the aerator must be removable.
To check: try unscrewing the tip of your tap by hand (or with a cloth-wrapped tool). If it comes off — you are
almost certainly compatible. If it does not come off — it may be hard-water seized (try soaking in vinegar) or
a non-threaded decorative tap (not compatible without replacing the tap). Best approach: send us a

How to install, care for, and maintain your Ultra Clear product
Yes. 4 steps, no tools required:
1. Close the shower valve.
2. Unscrew the shower head from the arm.
3. Wrap the thread with PTFE tape (included in box).
4. Screw the Ultra Clear filter onto the arm, then reattach your shower head to the filter outlet.
Turn on water and check for leaks. Install time: 5–10 minutes. Video guide sent on WhatsApp with every
order. Printed manual included in box.
Your kit includes up to 5 adapter options to cover different thread types. Start with the adapter that visually
matches your faucet or shower arm thread. The adapters are labelled by number in the included manual.
Key principle: one part goes onto the tap/arm (male), one connects to the filter housing (female). If
